Summer Magic

We had an absolutely amazing week in Elbow Cay at Summer Magic. This was our 3rd visit to Elbow Cay and our 1st at Summer Magic. Elbow Cay Properties had great communication from booking, arriving, one simple question during our stay, and departing. Great service being picked up from the ferry dock in a golf cart and taken to the property on arrival! Made the travel day even easier. The owners of the home were even across the street and very lovely people! The location of Summer Magic is perfect – in town almost right across from Captain Jack’s and an easy boat ride across the water to Hope Town Inn. The views from the deck at Summer Magic were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed drinking our coffee there every morning. The home was quiet with comfortable beds and enough space to spread out, which was perfect for our family of 3. Access to the pier and docking for the boat was fantastic. It's an overall amazing home and we are looking forward to coming back next year!

Can’t say enough about Summer Magic. It was exactly what my family of four needed. It was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. The location was perfect to the “downtown” area and was a very short walk to a beautiful beach which we promptly went to the day we arrived and snorkeled. My two teenagers loved the space and the roof top area was amazing during the evenings and for star gazing. We loved looking at the comings and goings of the harbor on the front deck. We rented a boat from Island Marine (highly recommend their services) and the dock was perfect for the boat. It was too windy our first day and we explored the town and a trip to the lighthouse is a must. The flowers in front of Summer Magic made it even more delightful and my teenage daughter took lots of photos with the flowers. We did have to tie the chairs down on the top deck on a windy night but it was an unusually high wind. We will be back to Summer Magic!!! It is a special place.

This is a beautiful home with a beautiful view. The owners live across the lane and happened to be there during my stay, which I really enjoyed.

Our family of 3 had a wonderful time at Summer Magic. It is in an ideal location a short walk from the golf cart parking lot and everything the village has to offer. The boat slip is easy to get in and out of and Chris (the caretaker) was there upon arrival to help us tie off the boat and unload our bags. Anytime he saw us he would ask if there was anything we needed and was very kind. I highly recommend staying here.

We had a party of 6 and had an amazing time. Summer Magic was all that we needed for 3 couples. Will be booking this house again if we go back to Hope Town.

Summer Magic's location is great, very close to Hopetown central and to the beach. No need to climb the ship's ladders to the widow's walk as the harbor views from the second floor porch and inside seating area are fantastic. One benefit of bedrooms on the first floor. Much to see there and the doings on the "street" below add more interest. We spent hours just watching the comings and goings. We did not have a boat but understand dockage is available across the street. Summer Magic was very clean and well appointed with paintings, sculptures etc. Plenty of towels as well. Several items for other renters. The stairs to the second floor are step with no railing and the king sized bed is difficult to access so those with any mobility impairments should take note. There is no back up generator but power interruptions were minimal. No cable so bring your streaming information if you want any t.v. entertainment. The wireless connection was very good. Overall, our stay at Summer Magic was very enjoyable. Finally, the property management folks at ECP are fantastic, super responsive and accommodating. Thank you.

First trip back since hurricane., was very happy to see that everything is rebuilt or in the process of being repaired.

Summer Magic has a Birds Eye view of the harbor from its upper, large deck which is lovely and hard to find in the settlement rental homes. The house is attractive, clean and well appointed with a king sized and queen sized bed. Good air conditioning and ceiling fans. Two large walk-in showers.

Summer Magic was a great experience. The house is right in the center of town and a two minute walk to the lower dock parking lot where you can keep your golf cart if you choose to get one, which I suggest. We got ours through Island Cart Rentals. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pots and pans and utensils needed to cook whatever you want. The house is also steps away from Captain Jacks. Our favorite part of the house was climbing up the ladder to the widow's peak and hanging out, day and night, looking at the 360 degree view of the harbor and the ocean. The owner, Chris, is cool and funny and helpful and just a super chill man. He took time to orient us to Hopetown and chat whenever we saw him. The dock is great. No problems at all. Our time at Summer magic was fantastic. Book this place! Make all your boat and golf cart reservations months before you need them. Hopetown is amazing. You need to go!

Summer Magic is a great place to stay. We saw lots of rental properties around town, but none that I could say seemed better than Summer magic. The third floor widow's peak gives a 360 degree view of the harbor and the ocean, as well as lots of the town. We spent almost every night up there listening to reggae and having drinks. We cooked about three nights. The kitchen has every pot and pan and utensil you need. Importantly, the air conditioning works great! The dock is steps away and well maintained. The owner, Chris, is a fascinating person, and is always close and ready to help with whatever he can. Hopetown is the best! Go to all the restaurants! Make your reservation as soon as you can for this house, a boat, and a golf cart.

Summer Magic is all my wife and I could hope for in a vacation rental. The dock made keeping a boating easy. The deck off the living room was made for evening cocktails, snacks and chats. Sunset from the roof deck was delightful. The staff was responsive on advice and our limited needs. Having rented multiple other properties on Elbow Cay over the years (which we enjoyed each time),we would change vacation dates to come back to Summer Magic over another property in the future. It would be most comfortable for a party of four or fewer people, though has space for more. If it has the right number of bedrooms for your party, book it.

Summer Magic has a fantastic location, and with its elevation, the view over Hopetown is unsurpassed. The house was very comfortable and worked well for two couples.

The house and rental company and owners were awesome! The location and having the boat dock across the street for our use made this trip fun! Everything you need for your vacation the owner had in the house. Bring your clothes and that is all you need. Great island and great people! We will be back!

We enjoyed Summer Magic. It's very convenient: on the harbor, two doors from the store. The upstairs patio has a great view of the harbor. We had two adult couples.

My family and I had a great stay in Summer Magic. The rental company informed us ahead of time that there was some construction next door. This wasn’t of any concern as the workers never arrived too early and also did not stay late. Basically they were there when we were sightseeing!
The home is beautiful and easy to navigate to on the water. We rented a boat and kept it at the dock.

The property is ideally located in the central part of Hope Town Harbour. The dock is ideal for those with a boat. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed in this lovely house for our family (4 of us) vacation on Elbow Cay. The house is right in town within a short walk to the Harbor View and Vernon's grocery stores, the Coffee House, Jacks, Sip Sip and lots of other places. Simply a great location! The private dock is easy to access and really convenient for tying up your boat at night. A porch, two bedrooms (queen beds in both) and a full bath are on the first level. The fully equipped kitchen (loved the gas stove top), dining area, living room, another porch and another full bath on the second level. A twin bed in the loft on the third level and a spectacular view of Elbow Cay, the harbour, the Atlantic an the Sea of Abaco from the roof top deck (which is a little challenging to access). Although we didn't lose power during our stay, I would like to have had a back-up generator just in case since power outages are a common thing. Would also have liked to have a VHF radio it the house and a new grill outside instead of the slightly broken one, but it worked just fine for the mahi and tails. Definitely recommend Summer Magic for a relaxing time in Hopetown!

Charming house, excellent location, upper balcony great for boat/harbor watching, and crows nest lookout great to get a lay of the land.
A good home base for exploring not only Hope Town, but the island, and the Abacos Sea. Owners lives across the street. Very personable and helpful. ECP were responsive.Would book again.

Perfect spot for our family of four. walked to the coffee house every morning, went right to our rental boat at the slip and spent each day island hopping. came back to relax in the comforts of the house, then close and convenient to all the restaurants, liquor store, market, playground, beach, and munchies for ice cream every night. sat out on the deck every night to watch the harbor after the kids slept comfortably downstairs. Great time, have no problems recommending!
