We were the first guests ever at this lovely ocean front property. We have stayed in Hope Town on numerous occasions, but were excited for our stay at the Sea Salt house. This house has one of the most updated kitchens I have seen in a rental in Abaco, and the Samsung appliances are extremely nice. We were able to cook our entire Thanksgiving meal! This house is near Sea Spray Marina in a quiet area. There is privacy and seclusion. There is deeded beach access and an amazing beach front platform. We really appreciated being able to use the washer and dryer during our stay since we have 2 small kids. We also appreciated that this house had a yard with sod so our kids could play. There is a generator at this property, but it did malfunction once during our stay and had to be repaired. The master bedroom leaves a bit to be desired since it is small with no view and the bathroom is across the hall.
By way of background, my husband and I own a vacation rental company in Orange Beach, Alabama where we professionally manage 260+ vacation rentals. Overall, we had a wonderful 10 day vacation at Sea Salt, but we wanted to take the opportunity to leave some constructive comments to help the vacation rental owners: 1. access to a closet in the master bedroom is needed. Keeping our hanging clothes in the closet in the bathroom was an inconvenience; 2. consider adding a safe for valuable items inside the house; 3. consider an electronic lock with a code instead of the physical key; 4. while the robotic vacuums were nice, we did not have a broom which was hard with 2 small kids; 5. since the master bedroom is downstairs, consider adding an option to lock it off for families with small kids that are downstairs; 6. the living room furniture is not great for a rental. The cushions kept falling off and the off-white fabric was hard to keep clean; 7. consider adding a grill
We had a great stay and would stay here again!
Our group of 4 adults very much enjoyed our stay at Sea Salt. The home is very well built and decorated nicely. Well supplied also. We really enjoyed the private Deck on the dune right down by the Atlantic for sunrise coffee! Marty the caretaker was fantastic and we definitely would recommend this property for 2 couples or a family of 5. Good location between Abaco Inn and Tahiti Beach.
