It was great . I believe all four of us had a very good time.
Beautiful property and surrounding area . Food and service at the local restaurants (Captain Jack's was the closest) was very good particularly if you like seafood peas and rice and very tasty macaroni pie)). Hard to imagine a more relaxing place. We enjoyed a sea bath every day

Problem with the doors locking , but there was a safe for our valuables.
and location was very safe and low crime so this was not really an issue.Understand that Elbow Key properties is getting the door locks fixed and it takes a while as the materials have to be imported

We rented this property for many years with family and friends. Great location on the beach. The beautiful deck design provides great views of the ocean and Sea of Abaco. It’s a plus to have access to a boat dock for a rental boat. This property has recently added a generator which is a great feature.

I spent the most wonderful 10 days in beautiful Down Thru. Perfect location close to town yet private offering sunrise and sunset views every day. Comfortable, cozy, and well appointed. I’ve stayed in different properties in Hope Town and Down Thru is by far my favorite!

We have stayed at this residence 15 times and have enjoyed it every time.

12th time staying at the Down Thru. Love the additions that have been made over the last couple of years since Hurricane Dorian.(whole house generator, smart TV)

WOW! Down Thru is just a wonderful place to stay while enjoying Hope Town and the Abacos. Located about a half mile north of the settlement, the house requires some sort of transportation (golf cart, car, bicycle) for shopping trips, but can be easily walked in fifteen minutes. Views are simply amazing, breezes cool every room, amenities are plentiful. And the people at Elbow Cay Properties know what they're doing and accommodate visitor requests with a smile. Overall an excellent experience.

Only complaint would be The very slow Wi-Fi basically not even working Everything else is great service was great check in check out easily

We were delighted to be able to return to Hope Town and stay at Down Thru.
This is the third time we’ve been able to stay at the home
Most of the repairs and updates have been completed from damage from the hurricane in 2019. The air conditioning and dock still need to be finished.
The views are magnificent and we hope to return again to stay at the home!

This is our third year staying at Down Thru. We will be returning nice again next year. The location is great, the views from the deck magnificent and the property managers are very responsive in dealing with any issue.

It would be nice if the kitchen had more glasses and a new coffee pot, and that the outdoor chairs need to be replaced as the wheels on the chairs have broken off.

The indoor furniture is fine and we love the Art throughout the house.

The property was great. It was as advertised. We love the location and how the house is furnished and the Elbow Cay Property staff were extremely helpful and professional. We will be returning next year.

However that being said there was a significant problem this year with the electical power which though not the fault of the owner did negatively impact our stay at Down Thru.

The problem this year was the ongoing power problems of Hope Town in general. Out of three weeks we had about a week of spotty power. In that week we ate and made dinner in the dark using candles and an oil lamp to see by. If Hope Town doesn't have reliable power the rental owner needs to consider purhasing a generator, even a small one to keep the fridge and water system operational plus a few lights in order to ensure a pleasant rental experience for the renter. This is the first time in thirty years of our coming to Hope Town the power has been such a problem and it was not a storm related issue but one we understand was caused by the poor maitrnance of the generator by the power company. Hopefully the power issue will be fixed otherwise as stated earlier the owner needs to consider purchasing a generator in order to maintain a good rental experience for the renter.

It was great . A perfect setting to get together for a week with a couple of friends and family members. Nice to leave the cold wether behind, and enjoy the local food, and Abaco Keys environment .
Will be back next year . May look for a four bedroom property then as another family member may be coming otherwise will likely stay at the same location.
