Green Shutters

We had a great time in Green Shutters. The location is great, right in town - close to everything. The house is all new inside and bright and spacious. The kitchen has all new appliances and well stocked. The beach is just over the hill in front of the house, you can't see the water from the house (but you can hear the waves!)

We were six people and used the two bedrooms in the house and the guest house (which is just out the front door. The guest house bathroom is a bit small but nothing wrong with it. The main house has a very large, spacious living room area with lots of places to sit and relax. The front porch was big with ceiling fans.

The staff was very helpful in getting us checked in after a long flight delay.

Absolutely no complaints about this house. We had such a great week, sad to leave.

We rented Green Shutters for a week in June/2003. The house is well located in the settlement, and it fits perfectly a family of four. We did not use the extra room outside but it's ideal for one extra couple. The outside room has a bit of a smell, but it will probably go away if you leave the windows open for a day. The house is very charming, well decorated, pretty much like the photos. It has all the appliances you need, plus extra towels to take when boating/going to the beach. The team at Elbow Cay was very helpful, I would definitely work with them again and can't wait to be back in Hopetown!

We loved sitting on the front porch and say alright to all the people,passing by. Plus it was just over the hill from the beach and just down thenpathmtomthengrocerynstore. Great location and a truly comfortable,charming house.

We loved the layout and location and the fact that is it the house my father grew up in was the real treat for our family reunion
So he enjoyed the memories reclaimed.
The generator was a bonus and the kitchen worked for all our needs

I stayed here with my sister and 2 of my friends and we had a wonderful time! Green shutters is seconds from the beach as well as the coolest restaurant in town! Very clean and organized which made it feel like home. <3

Our two daughters and my husband and I stayed at Green Shutters during a family reunion. The cottage was very clean and shipshape and there were plenty of dishes and pots and pans for us to cook with. Our daughters stayed in the house and reported the beds were very comfortable, and my husband and I stayed in the separate and comfortable mini-cottage, where we had our own bathroom. We often used the outdoor shower when coming back from swimming in the ocean, just a short walk over the hill (aka the cemetery) across the street. Two small hiccups -- the password for the internet didn't work, and the water pump malfunctioned -- were quickly fixed. We were impressed to learn that Green Shutters sheltered 75 people after Hurricane Dorian hit in 2019.

Everything was perfect! From being picked up at the dock to being dropped off on our way home. Everything was clean and working properly. We can’t wait to get back to Hope Town next year!!

This turned out to be the most nicely furnished and organized of the 3 homes we needed. It is perfect for a couple with one or 2 little ones, then a separate little studio for Auntie. It is a hike up the steps to the widows walk, but worth the view. It is also next door to the wine bar and restaurant. A lovely stretch of beach is easily accessed across from Green Shutters.

Our stay at Green Shutters was the perfect cottage for our family from the terrific location to the lovely decor. Renting in the village yet so close to the beach was exactly what we wanted. The cottage was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. We can’t wait to return next year!

The home was better than I could have hoped. Great space to read, play games and cook.

This house was so close to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. The kitchen was fully outfitted and decor was cute and comfortable. My parents stayed in the little cottage on the property. The rooftop deck made for great after parties and sunrise/sunset viewing.

We loved Green Shutters! Perfect location!

My family and I spent a week at Green Shutters, and enjoyed every minute of our time together. We had rented a boat from Blue Wave and a cart from Elbow Cay Cart Rentals, so our days were filled exploring, finding our own beach or lunching at various beach bars. Green Shutters was our evening landing spot though - an evening swim at the beach, cocktails on the roof deck as the sun went down, dinner cooked on the grill (or next door at Wine Down Sip Sip) followed by family time & games around the table. The home is perfectly located in the Settlement, close to everything you need. It's well appointed, clean, decorated very nicely, has great AC, and comfy beds. For our party of six, it was laid out great. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone we know heading to this very special little island. And working with the team at ECP was exceptional.

Management had transportation waiting to take us and our bags when we exited the ferry. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The location is great and we could walk to everything in the settlement. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Green Shutters/Elbow Cay Properties.

Lovely to sit on the porch and sip mango juice and ice water while reading an old book. A wonderful opportunity to relax in the warm sun without a worry in the world. And if one is minded to seek adventure, rent a golf cart and enjoy Tahiti Beach, The Firefly Resort, or Abaco Inn. Fascinating beaches with a good representation of tropical fish in the coral reefs.

Our group of women had a wonderful time at Green Shutters. We loved sitting on the porch & talking with people as they went by we also loved the location in the middle of town. The kitchen was impressive and even had the spices we loved to use. The beds were comfortable, the library of books was impressive & the living room was comfortable for reading and talking. This house was an A plus.

We had such a wonderful time in this well appointed, beautiful and centrally located cottage. The house is well appointed and the layout works well.
